to Yellowstone National Park This was out 2nd year to go snowmobiling at Yellowstone National Park. We went via Jackson Hole, WY and visited for a couple of days. In Jackson Hole, we visited the National Elk Refuge where there is a very good museum. Here you can take a mule drawn sled out into the herd and get close up photos of the elk. We then left Jackson Hole and drove on to West Yellowstone where we snowmobile for 3 days, 2 days in the park and 1 day outside of the park. There are over 500 trails outside of the park and the scenery is very good, but little wildlife is seen. Lots of wildlife to see in the park along with the great scenery. We went without a guide out of the park with no problems. Using the maps provided and the signage on the trails you cannot get lost as long as you stay on the trails. Do not attempt Two Top on a cloudy day unless you have a guide. To view photos, click on the photo at the top left of the page and then use the navigation buttons at the top right of each photo. For best viewing, hit the F11 key for full screen viewing. To look at our other snowmobiling galleries, go to www.thewards.info.
